JATTA, INC. 

Jatta Entertainment, Inc. is an entertainment company that houses all media related projects created and produced by roots reggae artist and company founder Taj Weekes. Jatta, Inc. is committed to providing socially conscious entertainment in all media genres for fans of classic roots reggae.

JATTA RECORDS

Jatta Records is the record label that produces and records music from Reggae artist Taj Weekes. This St. Lucian songwriter, poet, storyteller and musician speaks of life, love, poverty, faith and spirit. His group, Adowa, is an eclectic musical brew of Caribbean cultures that has backed such artists as Burning Spear, The Meditations, Eek-a-Mouse, Third World, Nasio Fontaine and Aswaad.  To date, the label's music catalogue consists of the critically acclaimed debut album, Hope & Doubt. This effort has been hailed as one of the best reggae releases of 2006.  In 2008, DEIDEM, their sophomore CD, will be released in the United Kingdom and Europe under a distribution agreement with Afrikool/SONY DADC . This much anticipated release is guaranteed to surpass the critical acclaim of Hope & Doubt and introduce the group to a larger global audience. In the future, Jatta Records will produce and record other reggae artists.

LYRICAL TEASE

LT is the merchandising division of Jatta, Inc., focusing primarily on t-shirts, hats, and bags sold online and at all venues where Taj Weekes & Adowa perform on tour. The images, logos and graphics all relate to the album covers, lyrics and group images.

TAJ TUNES

TT is the music publishing division of Jatta, Inc. housing all songs and lyrics written by, composed, arranged and created by Taj Weekes. This company promotes and markets lyrics and songs to music supervisors, film and television companies and other entertainment entities.

ZiltaMac BOOKS

ZMB is the publishing division of Jatta, Inc. which markets, promotes and publishes poetry from Taj Weekes. These writings are derived from Taj’s lyrics, socio-political observations and taps into a creative side that goes beyond music.

ZiltaMac FILMS

ZMF focuses on producing concert documentaries of the group. Video diaries, intimate interviews, group performances and footage of their rise to stardom are just some of the themes that are featured in various film catalogues.
